Recently finished reading the August/ September issue of the AARP Magazine in which The Property Brothers were talking about doing a Universal Design remodel of their parents’ home. I was happy to see that TEN years ago you had implemented almost all of the things for us that they are currently advocating. I also noted that they put the microwave above the stove, which as you pointed out is useless if you are in a wheelchair.
We have recently hired a handyman who comes once a quarter to check out the house for any issues before they get serious. Each time he comes, he remarks on what a good job you did for us on the remodel.
So again we want to thank you for what you did for us. We are so pleased with the house.

Every day we say thank you to you in some way for the beautiful & functional home you gave us and we do not even need the things you did for us yet. The joy and independence you & your co workers have given to this young woman is immeasurable.

I could not be happier with the work, professionalism, patience and caring shown to me by Lewis and all his subcontractors. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and prompt. They were careful to clean up after each day of work. I was dreading having my kitchen remodeled due to the inconvenience of having everything torn up but Lewis and his staff were so careful to keep everything moving smoothly. The whole experience was so pleasurable, I actually wish I could do it all over again!

I believe Sadler Construction is one of the leading companies in the Aging-in-Place industry. We were in the same graduating CAPS class and I have attended one of Lewis Sadler’s seminars on home modifications. I have worked with the senior population in their homes for over 8 years and can testify that he truly knows his product and the needs of those aging and with disabilities. Life Stage Home Design and Sadler Construction have a unique partnership creating a home that is not only safe, accessible and comfortable but also built with beautiful craftsmanship including all the updated features. Many people believe a modified home is institutional and this company has worked hard to change this stigma. We seem to have similar passions and I totally believe in their work.

We wanted to thank you for a job well done! Recently, your team of talent made numerous modifications in our new home to accommodate what has become an alternative lifestyle. We added partitions, repainted, added handicap “Grab Bars” and some personally designed lighted library shelves with display units. I could not be more pleased. Everything looks terrific. As the former CEO of a museum, I was in charge of the building’s construction. In that capacity, I witnessed my share of contractor’s and sub contractors perform in their various capacities. Simply put, your efforts and the final products were superb. Everyone genuinely cared about me and the quality of their work. Each evening, your several men, left a clean job site. They took pains to provide extensive dust protection for our antiques… and absolutely nothing was damaged or placed at risk. I appreciated what I call “attention to detail.” Lewis, thanks for a job well-done. By all means, fee free to use this correspondence and/or me as a reference. If you would like to showcase your craftsmanship, we can schedule to do that by appointment. And by all means, thank the various workers for their attentiveness and their positive attitudes.

I have worked with Sadler Construction in the past and have been always been impressed with the degree of care Mr. Sadler puts into his work. Lewis puts the person first and has good insights as to what can be done to make a home better support the occupants. He understands that remodeling a home for a person with disabilities involves everyone residing or providing care in the home. I always include Sadler Construction as a resource when recommending reliable builders for an accessible home modification.

We knew when we bought our home that we would need significant accessibility remodeling. We discussed needs and priorities and John drafted some plans. We met with Lewis Sadler of Sadler Construction and were very impressed. He had some excellent suggestions that we’d never come across in our reading about accessible design. He took John’s drawing and make some changes; we were very pleased. That was nearly a year ago. John has since redesigned the addition countless times and, every time, Lewis has reviewed John’s ideas, talked with us, listened to us and responded helpfully. We finally gave the go-ahead for Lewis to price out the design a couple of months ago. That Sunday afternoon, we decided to call Lewis the next day to meet and sign the contract. By Monday morning, John had started over and re-designed the entire addition. I was at my wits’ end, but Lewis took it all in stride and continued to be patient and supportive. His only concern was that we not spend too much money! I’ve never heard that from a contractor before. We already knew that Lewis does outstanding work based on the spectacular remodeling (including “aging in place” modifications) he’d done for good friends. Now we’re convinced that he must also be the most patient contractor in the world.

I guess anytime you do remodeling, a plan will undergo numerous revisions. One change leads to another … and new ideas surface. Lewis Sadler is a man of vision, talent and infinite patience. Our dog loves him. The end results are going to be far better than we envisioned in the beginning and our neighbors are impressed.

Our builder, Lewis Sadler, is a passionate advocate for “ageless living” (all ages and physical abilities will be able use our house comfortably, physical disabilities and handicaps included). He can explain how easy it is to incorporate it in today’s new homes. If only more people were aware of it. Too many folks have to renovate and/or retrofit their homes when they have “aging” needs … but incorporating it initially is certainly something that Jack and I were interested in.

My father and I were living in northern Virginia. We needed to move to Cary, NC to be near my brother and his family so I would have help in caring for my increasingly handicapped father. We were able to buy a house close to my brother but it needed extensive remodeling to accommodate our current and future needs. The work involved changing entrances, modifying doorways, room flow, and flooring to accommodate a wheel chair. The bathroom had to be completely redesigned to be an wheelchair accessible bathroom. We also had to remove a deck to put in a wheelchair accessible screened in porch. We could not move until critical changes were complete. Mr Sadler and his employees worked conscientiously with us despite the distance to identify all the potential issues and changes we would need to accommodate Dad. Mr. Sadler would bring up issues we had not thought of and offer possible solutions. The work was done well and with high quality. After we moved in, Mr. Sadler continued to work with us to fine tune the house to Dad’s likes and individual needs. We were pleased with both cost and quality.

I could not be more pleased with Sadler Construction! From start to finish, they made the addition to our home a seamless and stress-free one. Lewis is very knowledgeable and easy to work with and offered many creative suggestions that made our addition even better. I would highly recommend Sadler Construction and plan to use them again with the design/construction of our beach home.

Sadler construction was a wonderful partner to work with in building an accessible home for our family. Lewis and Patti are a joy and I am happy to have met them. Now that our home is complete, we are thrilled with the outcome.

We are still so pleased with what you did for us. Recently someone on Ridge Road put up an ugly ramp to their house which reminded us what quality work you do. Even after more than 9 years, the house still looks fresh to us.

Cannot keep this to myself!!! I would hands down recommend this company for your house needs. We just recently moved into a new home and wanted to completely gut and redesign the kitchen into an open concept kitchen. Lewis clearly saw our vision and helped us create our dream kitchen. He and his team were professional beyond what I thought was possible. They were thoughtful, timely, detail oriented, and incredibly kind and easy to work with. Looking forward to hiring them again soon!

Sadler Construction is the Triangle’s leader in building homes for the long-term. Lewis and his team build beautiful homes that are not just long-lasting residences but are also fully accessible no matter your age or mobility. We enjoy working with Sadler Construction because they are knowledgeable, forward-thinking people of integrity. It’s an honor to be part of their team!

We were very impressed Lewis Sadler’s vision and design and by all the Sadler employees in their professionalism, work quality and overcoming the many challenges during our home remodeling. Their work in installing a 4 level elevator, graded entry walkway eliminating the front steps, and making our house generally handicap accessible was first rate. We are very much enjoying all the amenities they added.

I am happy that I found and hired Lewis Sadler Construction to build our new house. Lewis and his teams of workers could not have been nicer and did quality work throughout the process. I have to give high praises for Lewis’s patience, his experience, and expertise as a builder. He knows the area of building for handicapped accessibility VERY well and helped us to build a home that will be adjustable for us as we age AND is absolutely beautiful with excellent quality throughout the building process. I have no qualms or hesitation about recommending Lewis Sadler Construction to anyone who is looking to either build a new house, as we did, or to remodel your existing home to make it more “ageing in place” ready for yourselves as you age.

I had a total master bathroom remodeled done by Sadler Construction. I had walls removed and changed the location of plumbing. I put in high end cabinets, granite counters, a roll in shower with 2 heads, all tile. I loved his subs. I would highly recommend Lewis & his team.

Deck expansion and front porch portico addition. We expanded our undersized, second story deck. The project went quickly and definitely met or exceeded our expectations.
We also had a small covering added over the deck door along with the portico on the front porch. Sadler Construction did a terrific job and we are thrilled.
