Odds Are Your House is Not Ready

The Journal of the American Planning Association (JAPA) released a forecast that 28% of households can expect to have at least one resident with “physical or self-care limitations by mid-century.” Bureau of Economic and Business Research at the University of Florida researchers estimate that “every single-family detached home built from here on out has a 60% probability of housing at least one disabled resident during its lifetime. When visitors with impairments are factored into the equation” that percentage rises to 91%. Do you have a home that is ready for the future?
