Functional is the New Affordable

Published on May 10th, 2010

As the economy goes, so goes what is considered “must haves.”  The most recent American Institute of Architects (AIA) Trade Survey found that  bells and whistles are out and modest functionality is in.  Houses that “promote energy efficiency and adaptability in the use of space for seniors and those with accessibility concerns” are the priority.  Kitchen and bathrooms need to be lean and green.  Renewable flooring materials, water-saving toilets, accessibility and showers without doors are among the items  that home owners are interested in now.  We thought so — here at Sadler Construction we have been building and remodeling with all this in mind for quite some time.  Happy to know our Lifestage Design is catching on.
