What is LifeStage?
LifeStage Home Design is an approach developed by Lewis Sadler to describe a home that is either capable of meeting someone’s disability needs right now, or can be adapted to do so in the future with minimal structural changes and expense.
The LifeStage approach is valuable to those who wisely plan ahead, and consider the possibility of living in their home independently for as long as possible — often referred to as “Aging in Place.” It is also a valuable approach for families that have a loved one with some form of physical or cognitive impairment. In all cases, the LifeStage Home Design approach provides a number of solutions to address peoples’ current or possible needs in every room in the house. From widened doors and hallways to reinforced walls to the latest in home safety equipment.
The term “LifeStage Home Design” is currently under pending trademark consideration by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
