According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of Americans over age 65 is expected to double, reaching 72 million by 2030. The National Association of Home Builders now reports that many people are choosing to update their current homes or are buying homes that meet their changing needs. And according to an AARP study, 9 out of 10 people would prefer to stay in the own home as they age.
